Naughty Wife Spanked For Reading "Vanilla Porn"
This story is one of ten that is now part of my anthology, "The Best of 1950s Wife," which may be purchased for ready read on your Kindle via Amazon.com for the reasonable price of $2.99 by clicking this link: "The Best of 1950s Wife"
*giggle* This is the beauty of F/F! I know, you must be shocked.
And absolutely not. In this case reading the book only brought her closer to her husband and the spanking should have been for financial mismanagement rather than illicit reading.
You are far too softhearted Ana. I'd recommend a regimen of five-mile runs at 5:00 a.m. followed by breakfasts of plain oatmeal and prune juice to toughen you up except that I know you are in good shape already.
No, she shouldn't be punished for her curiosity on vanilla porn but for spending money on something she was not instructed/permitted to buy when she's on a tight budget.
No, she shouldn't have been spanked from that, but there was a lesson to be learned -- hide the contraband better! Enjoyed this story a lot. This was one of my favorites that you've written.
A rule is a rule, and her hubby had specifically told her that reading romance novels wasn't allowed. How can anyone believe she didn't deserve to be spanked? Especially when she used the beef jerky funds and considered lying. She should have gotten her pumpkin muffin though.
I appreciate your reply Emma :) I checked with the husband and he advises that he withheld the pumpkin bread muffin as a helpful way to keep his wife on her diet, as the 15 minutes she devoted to reading "Sensitive Man" that afternoon rather than vacuuming caused her to burn less calories than usual.
Who knows what evil lurks in the mind of a "vanilla" porn writer ? The wife need to know that her current world is just that. I say he needs to spank the vanilla out and continue the established norm...
She deserved the spanking for breaking the "reading" rule. She should be further punished for buying reading material out of the food budget. Further punishments would come for hiding the reading material...just as if she lied about it... and if she did try to fool her husband on Sunday... I would spank her nightly till the next Sunday! houston_switch
You are quite correct, houston_switch, in noting that two spankings in total are far too lenient for such naughty behavior. I passed along your sensible suggestion to the husband in question and he advises that his wife, once she's cleared the table and washed the dishes, will be put over his knee and treated to an after-dinner desert of "red rump steak" every night through Saturday.
And instead watching the football game on TV Sunday afternoon with her husband, wife will spend the entire three hours sitting in the naughty chair facing the living room corner writing on lined paper in her best handwriting "I Must Obey My Husband's Rules."
Moreover, to earn back the money wasted buying a romance novel, wife will see her lunch portion reduced from one tuna fish sandwich to one-half with no mayo until the family grocery budget increases to afford husband an adequate supply of beef jerky.
She deserved the spanking for using grocery money to buy a book but not for reading it, or trying to read it anyway, because she was just wondering if the grass was greener....
While I appreciate you're taking the time to write, SH, I must respectfully disagree about the part of "wondering if the grass was greener." It's the husband's job to determine if the lawn is sufficiently green and the wife's job to mow it.
You break the rules you get the spanking. It was a romance novel that wasted her time. Trash is trash.I kind of agree with houston switch. She should get spanked nightly for each infraction that she made, like buying the book, using grocery money, reading the book, hiding the book, trying to deceive her husband and hoping that her husband wouldn't notice the difference in the jerkey. All spankable offenses.
I'm afraid I know little about cocktails, Celeste, as the only alcohol kept in our home is a quart bottle of malt liquor that I break out whenever Hubby gets a craving for my homemade "beer ice cream."
Oh, yes, there is a snifter of elderberry wine hidden in the laundry room that I partake of very rarely for medicinal purposes.
Other than beer ice cream, my husband abstains from alcohol use as he is "in training" in anticipation that wife-spanking will be the next big-money professional sport.
You are quite welcome joeyred51 :) And, yes, the only "sensitivity" to worry about in a cases such as this is carpal tunnel syndrome or other hand injury a husband may subject himself to by applying necessary punishment to a naughty wife's behind.
I don't think she should be spanked for reading the book (I hope not at least - since I read these books all the time - I'm the submissive one here), but she should be spanked for not telling him and trying to hide it.
I say no, maybe she learned a trick or two that she could incorporate for him--- and encourage a reward for her, possibly a good girl spanking!! Hmm vanilla porn may not be what he wants.....lol
The best remedy is a comprehensive recitation of her sins in this case (there were many), then once she's shamefaced enough, over the lap she goes. Trust me, that lecture will stay with her long after her bottom has cooled off:)
She should be spanked for taking it home. She could have skimmed the pages while she was still at the supermarket and then technically she wouldn’t have wasted the grocery money or bought the book…skimming isn’t exactly the same as reading...
Constance, glad you agree about the necessity of a sound spanking!
But while I hate to praise the wife in question for being a "sneaky pete," she did show sound judgment in not loitering in the grocery to skim the novel. What if another submissive wife happened down the grocery aisle and spotted the naughty missus with her nose in "Senstive Man"? You know how women's tongues wag. Her husband would be caught up in the scandal and have to resign the couple's membership in the country club.
Of course she should be spanked for even daring to bring a copy of such trash into the marital home! Just imagine what would happen to the household and society in general if men got their hands on such trash, or if women started reading it enmasse and started to expect such things as help around the house! Society as this good woman knows it would end! Therefore its in the interest of mankind that she be soundly spanked for this naughty misdeed!
How right you are Christina! You are very wise but what else would one expect from the writer of the excellent blog "Red Booty Woman." (Readers see 1950s Wife's links section to click on Christina's blog.)
Vanilla porn is such trash and then to spend the grocery money on such frivilous nonsense. Of course she needed to be spanked and soundly. Another spanking would definitely be in order for trying to trick her husband into eating less meat and more batter. Shame on her. Red cheeks are a must.
Oh to be sure, she should be spanked. Now dear Dev has forbid me to read a silly booky that the public has labled mommy porn. And I'm totally put out about it. Everyone has read it but me! I have just about convinced myself it would be worth the spanking to read it anyway.... I mean I have read so much that he is unaware of, but I can't. Overide my good girl self that still wants to obey him. He hasn't made very many demands of me so I can obey this rule...
Yes, absolutely a submissive wife should be spanked for reading vanilla porn! Spicy dark chocolate porn is the only porn a submissive wife should be allowed to read!
Were the book not already properly disposed in the garbage can and taken to the city dump to hopefully be buried under tons of trash, I would recommend to the husband in question that, as additional punishment, his wife be made to copy out the most tedious passages from "Sensitive Man" in her best handwriting while sitting in the corner in the "naughty chair."
I think she was wasting her time but who knows maybe the spanking would send her in the right direction and she would start reading hot hot books :) Thanks for the awesome giveaway! cassandrahicks1989@yahoo.com
Cassandra, though 1950s wives busy schedule of cooking, cleaning and other household chores during the day, and pleasing their husbands all night long, leaves them little free time, I'm certain the wife in question will take your sensible advice. Any time to read should be spent on hot books, not ice cold vanilla offerings such as "Sensible Man."
No she should not be punished, she was just trying to see what she was missing and found out it wasn't as exciting as she thought.
ReplyDeleteDonnatella, while I respectfully disagree with your opinion regarding punishment, I appreciate your taking the time to comment on the story.

ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I must respectfully disagree pao. "Curiosity killed the cat" and earns the wife many taps ... of her husband's cane on her backside!

DeleteNo, I'm sorry. Thats totally ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteHe should spank her with the book.
ReplyDeleteBTW--will there be a 1950s wife cookbook? In addition to deep fried beef jerky, I bet the cocktails section will be extensive.

I'm afraid I must respectfully disagree Kelsey. If a wife is encouraged to read the next thing you know she'll be wanting to vote too!

ReplyDeleteAppreciate your comments Minelle :)
DeleteOh yeah, definitely spanked. We can't have vanilla porn clouding our submission, can we?
ReplyDeleteWise words!

ReplyDeleteAppreciate your compliments Sue!
DeleteI would blister my wifes bottom for reading anything when she should be busy, much less vanilla porn. Not to mention grounding and an essay.
ReplyDeleteQuite right you are Brian!
